Tim ‘Too Slim’ Langford is a powerhouse guitarist and an unapologetic blues rocker, drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Lightnin’ Hopkins, Freddy King, Duane Allman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Robin Trower. His music is not just a tribute but a vibrant continuation of the blues tradition.
As an incredibly prolific singer-songwriter, Langford boasts an impressive catalog featuring 14 studio albums, 2 solo albums, and a series of live CDs released under the Vizztone label and his own Underworld Records. Their latest live album, “Brace Yourself,” exemplifies the evolution of their contemporary blues-rock sound, aptly described as “Straight Whiskey Blues with a Southern Rock Beer Chaser.” This album is a must-listen for both blues aficionados and newcomers alike.
With “The Remedy,” their most recent studio effort, they soared to #3 on the Billboard Top Blues Album Chart, illustrating their consistent appeal. “High Desert Heat,” from 2018, not only charted 11 times on the Billboard Top Blues Album Chart but also secured a nomination for Best Blues/Rock Album at the 2019 Blues Music Awards. This album’s frequent rotation on Sirius XM’s B.B. King’s Bluesville showcases its wide-ranging influence. Their 2016 release, “Blood Moon,” received accolades as the Blues Rock Album of the Year from both the Blues Blast Music Awards and the Jimi Awards, reaching an impressive #6 on the Billboard Top Blues Album Chart.
In 2015, their 2014 release “Anthology” was celebrated as the #1 Blues Album of the Year by the Blues Matters Writers Poll. The 2013 release “Blue Heart” not only reached #3 on the Billboard Top Blues Album Chart but also garnered a nomination for Rock/Blues Album of the Year at the 2014 Blues Blast Music Awards. Even their 2011 album “Shiver” found acclaim, being nominated for Rock/Blues Album of the Year by the Blues Foundation. SDK Entertainment brings an unforgettable hydro flying performance to the water, led by professional flyboarder and world-record holder Scotty Knemeyer alongside his wife and performance partner Stevie Knemeyer.
Scotty began flyboarding in 2012 and quickly became known for pushing the limits of the sport. As one of the early pioneers of hydro flight, he has traveled the world performing in Japan, Ireland, the Maldives, Australia, Bermuda, Mexico, Hawaii, and across the United States. His performances feature powerful launches, flips, dives, and aerial maneuvers that send him soaring high above the water.
What truly makes their show unique is their tandem performance. Flying together requires incredible balance, timing, and trust. Scotty controls the board while Stevie performs alongside him, moving with the flight as they spin, glide, and flip through the air together. Their routine turns an extreme sport into a synchronized performance that very few people in the world can do.
In addition to their daytime performances, SDK Entertainment also presents a spectacular night show, featuring custom LED light suits that illuminate the sky as they soar above the water. The glowing aerial choreography creates a stunning visual experience that transforms hydro flight into a true nighttime spectacle.
Now based in East Wenatchee, Washington, Scotty and Stevie love bringing the show home and sharing it with their community, friends, and family.
This year marks their third annual performance at REAL HOMES ROCK FEST in Rock Island.
